Red clover

Description: Perennial herbaceous tufted plant, hairy to an extent, 20-100 cm. Dendriticrhizome. Herbaceous branches slightly prostrated and curved. Leaflets are ovate, inverted or longitudinal. Heads (floral) 20-40 mm, with short petiole. Tube type calyx 3.5-4 mm of crenulated type 2.5-4 mm. Corolla 12-16 mm, reddish-purple or pink. Ovate green beans, with thickened top.

Distribution in Kosovo: Grows in pastures, meadows, uncultivated land etc.

Harvest time: Flowers are harvested during the months V-X.

Drying: Drying is done in ovens or proper locations in 4 00C. Ratio: 5:1.
