Description: Aromatic perennial herbaceous plants up to 90 cm high, with gland hair and ovatestraight leaves. Pink flowers rarely white.
Distribution in Kosovo: It grows in places with grass, bush, forest or cultivated.
Parts used: Part above surface (Oregano herb).
Harvest time: The Herb is harvested during blooming in the summer (V-VII).
Drying: It should be done in the oven or in cool places, at temperatures up to 50 0C. Ratio: 4: 1.
Therapeutic Category: Digestive tract treatment, expectorant
Use: It is used against colds, flu, and against bronchitis etc.
Preparation and dosage: 3×2 g herb soaked in hot water and taken as tea.
